А-DQ(ZM-SR)2Y xE 1,5kN is an armored optical cable designed for installation in cable sewers, pipelines, cable ducts and soils of categories 1-3. It is used in distribution networks and FTTB systems. The cable design includes a laminated corrugated metal tape that acts as a rodent-proofing agent and provides additional mechanical strength in harsh environments. The G.652.D optical fiber is inside a central tube filled with a thixotropic gel. A water-blocking tape is placed between the reinforced tape and the optic tube, which additionally prevents the spread of moisture in case of local damage. The strength elements are metal rods with a diameter of 1 mm, which provide tensile resistance up to 1.5 kN. The outer shell is made of UV-stabilized high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which provides resistance to weathering and mechanical stress. The cable is available in configurations from 2 to 24 fibers.
